Bring It On.....

WARNING: Many pics-long post.

Well 2012 has arrived...

I am hoping for a less stressful year. Is that possible???Can i ask for this to happen.....hope so.

We decided to head up in the mountains yesterday to get out of the heat. It worked until the walking part through the bush and heading back to tumut after luch! The place we visited is Yarrangabilly Caves.

First we headed down to the thermal pool-that was the easy part !!

Then we did the bush walk around to the cave- 1.5km. You can understand why my calves on the back of my legs are so sore today!! I'm not moving very far today-LOL

Hubby asked if i took photos going through the rock formations. I wanted to tell him what i thought but the kids were in ear shot! I was flat out watching the track let alone taking photos..

Finally we arrived at the caves...

By the end of the caves, hubby offered to take my backpack cause i was well and truely stuffed!!

Our next trip to this destination - the girls will be capable of swimming by themselves and i will wait up at the top picnic ground and have lunch organised while reading a scrapping mag..LOL...

Now to finally catch up on some scrapping news. Luckily most of these scrapping shares i did before the end of last month cause i haven't had time to scrap lately.

Purple Pumpkin

This months sketch is designed by Sara N.

and some close ups:

The bright orange doileys were perfect for my summery layout. And the spotty button looks very funky indeed!! Did you also spot the Scrapmatts chipboard. These work very well with Purple Pumpkin embellishments...

So you can find this sketch and all the DT examples here
...you will love them!!

Speaking of Scrapmatts....

This months challenge is :

Create a card that uses black Scrapmatts chipboard - super easy!!

Of course this can be chipboard that comes in black already, or one that you colour black using any method you like.

Here is my example:

and a close up:

Did you spot my Scrapmatts i have used???

The frame( CB6002 Ornate Frame 02) and a key (CB1085 Keys 02)

And at the end of the month, a winner will be picked and will get $25 gift certificate to Scrapmatts. So what are you waiting for...head on over...

Bird Is the Word

It has been a year since BITW began....can you belive that...and it is growing bigger and getting better.

Our new word being introduced today is PROMISE. The promise of a new year to come!!...or however you want to use the word! I think you will see this is a very versatile word.

Come and check out the DT examples and challenge here
.

I decided to do a layout with my parents.

and a close up:

I think my layout turned out alright - i decided to add just bits and pieces from embellishments laying on my desk. And the red felt flower and spotty button is from Purple Pumpkin.

You may like to use this sketch too designed by Mary Thomas.
